Reverend Andrew Johnson
Pastor
Pastor Andrew Johnson has been at Christ Lutheran Since October, 2017. He served as an associate Pastor for five years before coming to be a part of the ministry here at Christ Lutheran. He holds a PhD in Practical Theology and regularly teaches at Concordia University, Ann Arbor. He is passionate about living in the forgiven grace of Jesus and teaching others to enjoy the same joys given to us from the cross and empty tomb of Christ. Pastor Johnson is married to his lovely wife Emily. They have two boys, Noah and Gideon, and two girls, Chloe and Esther.
Seth Illich
Director of Youth and Family Ministry
Seth Illich serves as Christ Lutheran’s Director of Youth and Family Ministry. He is passionate about helping children, teens, and families grow in their faith and build lasting relationships centered on Christ. By working with parents and families, Seth helps the next generation develop a strong foundation for lifelong faith.
Before joining Christ Lutheran, Seth served as a Director of Christian Education at Our Redeemer in Iowa City, IA, Emmanuel Lutheran in Kettering, OH, and most recently at Good Shepherd in Cedar Park, TX. He graduated from Concordia University Chicago with a Director of Christian Education degree, a minor in Theology, and a specialization in Youth Ministry.
Seth and his wife, Emily, have been married since 2015 and are the proud parents of two children, Sofia and Sullivan. As a husband, father, and ministry leader, Seth understands both the joys and challenges of raising a family, and he enjoys walking alongside other families as they grow together in Christ.
